Niche farming creates economic opportunity

Choosing shrimp raised locally and sustainably from inland farms like Triple J is a win-win. Not only are consumers benefitting the environment by choosing seafood that had zero harmful impacts on oceans, rivers and streams, but the quality of the shrimp is tremendous.

This niche product is what Dave Howell was seeking when he began researching alternatives to the commodity crops he had been raising, soybeans and corn. Brothers Jeff and Jim Howell came on board to run the farm, with a focus on creating a product that is high end, unique and in demand. Fresh, head-on, tail-on shrimp fit the bill perfectly.
