Shrimp 101: Anatomy and stages of growth

Did you ever wonder what a whole, live shrimp looks like? The Pacific white shrimp that are raised at Triple J Farms have a big head with long antennae and beady eyes. They have two different sets of legs -- the front legs are used to gather food, which they put into their mouth, which is located on the front of their bodies. And these little critters are strong. The body, which is the part we eat, is just one long muscle. When they want to move, they contract that tiny body and the horn on their tail can get you, so watch out!
