Dale Hollow Winery's family roots

Jesse and Katy Dale decided on a whim to plant 1,000 vines -- by hand! -- on what had been Jesse's grandfather's land, which had previously been used to grow more traditional crops like corn. They'd never tended a vineyard, or made wine, for that matter, but they dove into the idea of creating a vineyard in their small community of Stover, Missouri, and today, 10 years later, they are bringing home awards from wine competitions and welcoming dozens of people to their tasting room every weekend.
