Farm to bowl ice cream at Bold Spoon

At Bold Spoon, the flavors are truly "farm to bowl" because the ice cream production facilty is situated right on Rachel's 57-acre farm. She can pick something and walk straight into the kitchen and start working on a new flavor. Wild blackberries grow at the edge of the forest. She's cultivating corn, watermelon and herbs -- including, of course, the mint that started it all. She's even planted an orchard that will supply apples and peaches. When asked how she decides what to plant, she says that she considers what will grow well in her Missouri climate as well as what other people aren't using, and then she just "gets at it."
