tasteMAKERS fans, get excited!

Announcing our newest project: a special hour-long documentary on the history of Missouri wine. Much of the history of American winemaking is tied up in the story of wine in Missouri and we are going to tell the full tale, from native grapes to phylloxera to Prohibition to the mid-century revitalization of the industry.

We will begin production in the next couple of weeks and it looks like our first on location shoot may be with Stone Hill Winery during its Norton harvest. I will keep this section of the site updated as the documentary comes together, with behind the scenes photos and videos.

Look for the doc to debut next spring on PBS stations — and I’ll be hosting screenings (paired with wine, of course) throughout Missouri wine country. It feels so good to be back in production and I can’t wait to share the documentary with you and hopefully raise a glass together at a screening.

And for those of you who have been asking about our next full season, we are still in the funding and planning stage — I anticipate being able to begin shooting in early 2022. I’ll keep you updated!
