What is regenerative agricutlure?

"How do we emulate nature's design," asks soil health specialist Ray Archuleta, "its architecture, its patterns. If we emulate nature, [farming] will start to work more efficiently, more effectively. All of us have a common thing in our soils. They're driven by soil life."

And so by bringing the diversity found in natural systems into farms, regenerative agriculture seeks to encourage healthy soil and support the microbes, fungi and other millions of organisms that thrive in healthy soil. "For every one pest," says Archuleta, "there's 1700 beneficials."
