Hoskins Berry Farm is a diversified Biodynamic/Organic farm in western Oregon.
One of our main crops is blackberries, from which we ferment a unique Blackberry Vinegar. This is a whole fruit, raw vinegar, made from the blackberries we grow on our farm only. Our vinegar is minimally processed to allow the fruit that our holistic farming generates to define this product and the taste of place from which it comes. Fermentations are directed by the native yeasts and acetic acid bacteria that reside on farm with the berries.
Meet the Makers Feature
Using organic and biodynamic practices, Jim Fullmer of Hoskins Berry Farm in Oregon is producing blackberry vinegar with a mother he’s been nurturing since the ‘80s. “Food and drink have been industrialized to the point that people don’t even value it anymore," he says. "As people wake up to good food and drink and flavors and colors and aromas... that’s just a really healthy thing for humanity.” Learn more about this dedicated maker in our Meet the Makers profile.
