Closing the loop with Valley Spirit Farm

Louismill hosts a farmers’ market on site every weekend, with local farmers bringing in produce and meat for folks to buy. Valley Spirit Farm vends at the market, offering pork from pigs that were fed spent grain from Louismill, closing the loop between the two businesses. Valley Spirit also includes loaves of bread from Louismill in its CSA bags. We stopped by the farm to meet Caleb and see how this diverse organic farm, which is run in partnership between two families, balances its vegetable and pork production.
