The Fig & The Knife is a local Phoenix, Arizona, company that is owned and operated by private chef Janette Gomez. Janette offers small-scale catering, private cooking classes and corporate cooking demonstrations with a focus on healthy, ARTful renditions of international dishes. In addition, chef Janette has created a line of ARTfully balanced, handcrafted, small-batch sauces, spreads, marinades and spice blends using only the highest quality, all natural, locally-sourced ingredients.
Due to the culinary nature of our products, returns are only accepted for items received damaged or quality issues. Any claims must be made within 24 hours of receipt. We do stand behind our products and suggest contacting us to discuss any concerns you may have.
We generally ship within two business days, with the exception of federally recognized holidays. Custom orders may take 3/5 business days.
Cat’s Catch Recipe
As a first-generation Cuban-American, these are the flavors Janette Gomez grew up with and I wanted to use the blend in a simple dish that would let the garlic, onion and lime be front and center. To me, summer cooking should be easy and light, so I decided to fry up some fish seasoned with Janette’s Cuban Mojo and pile it onto a sandwich dressed with Cuban-spiced mayo.
