Screening at the Saint Louis Science Center

Peter and Brandon Hofherr of St. James Winery joined Cat Neville and Jim Anderson, executive director of Missouri Wines, for a screening of Winemaking in Missouri at the Saint Louis Science Center in September.

A welcome recption was held under an arbor in the Science Center’s GROW exhibit featuring pours of Missouri wines that won gold medals at the 2022 Missouri Wine Competition along with midwest cheeses, olives and local breads. The sold-out event was attended by members of the Science Center, and they peppered Peter and Jim with questions after the screening, eager to know more about the types of grapes that grow in Missouri, the science of grafting and where to head to explore Missouri’s 130 wineries.

Thank you to the Science Center team, especially Maddie Earnest, the manager of GROW and Life Science, who invited us to share the film and raise a glass in celebration of local food and drink.
