Foodscapes at restaurants and in your backyard are a no brainer, but at a school? At Principia School in the St. Louis area, Matt Lebon designed a permaculture orchard that functions as a living classroom that teaches the students about food as well as sustainability.
After visiting EarthDance Farms, the students at Principia said they’d like to build a permaculture orchard on their campus, and here’s the result, which is used by kids from every grade level to learn about farming, the environment, resource conservation and sustainability:
