Green Dirt Farm’s chef dinners bring people to the farm for a cheese-filled feast
From spring to fall, Green Dirt Farm invites chefs to come to the farm and host dinners in their old milking parlor, which was built when the creamery first launched. The setting is idyllic, with sheep grazing just across the gravel road and lights twinkling in the barn’s rafters.
When we shot our episode, Howard Hannah was hosting a sold-out dinner featuring Green Dirt cheese and lamb. Howard is one of Kansas City’s best-known and most respected chefs, focusing his menu on locally sourced ingredients at The Rieger and Ca Va, two of our favorite places to eat when we’re in Kansas City.
